VH1's "I Love the 1790s"....

I'll be the first to admit that I am really, really not up on music culture. Aural literacy is not my forte. But this comedian makes his point about music and derivative works so even I can get the point (and he's very funny):

This is great! I ran into this video after someone else's post (the one with the dad singing to Pachelbel's Canon, and you're right, it's very funny.

Yep, that's where I found it too! After watching it with my siblings the 3rd time it suddenly struck me that it would actually apply to our music literacy topic, so I decided to go ahead and post it. :)

OMG You made my DAY! This is GREAT! I have to tell you that this kind of "hearing" of music is exactly why I refused to become a music teacher despite my excellent pitch (My 5 year old has been diagnosed with the dreaded perfect pitch) she tells me things like "mommy my feet won't stop singing the same song can you hear it?" I feel for her.....I can hear it too.............it is everywhere!" AHHH!
