A new way to learn LC Call Numbers

Check out this Flash based "game" to help you practice your LC Call number shelving skills. In case you are interested in playing, you have to double-click one of the books from the stack on the left to pick it up and drop it in its correct place. It's a little cheesy, but somewhat amusing. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone brand new to LC, since it doesn't actually provide any instruction, but it could be a fun little refresher for those already familiar.

If you are interested in software that actually trains people to shelve and shelfread, I suggest LC Easy, which is how I learned when I started working in a library in college. Plus, it's got a fun wizard!
