This article here relates to the discussion we had in class about digital television. The cutoff date for analog will be on February 17, 2009, but the federal government is helping to subsidize the purchase of converter boxes by giving out $40 coupons from National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
The article is about the possibility of extending the expiration dates on the coupons so people get a better chance to pick out the converter box they need. Briefly, an extension doesn't seem likely.
